My word count goal for April is 65k. Before y'all beat me over the head with your laptops, I'm finishing up the ending of my already 60k masterpiece and then rewriting/editing the beginning 3/4 that I haven't touched in about 2 months.

I love the snapshots, characters, and little stories that he folds into this story. At first they didn't seem connected but I began to realize that every little story he told, gave us a vision into his worldview. His explanations for human nature, for the ways of the sky and the sea, built upon the tragedies he's seen and walked through as a pilot.
It was by that window where dreams came true, where life was fought and life was lost. The cherry wood sill, stained with blood and paint worn by warm hands, pens, and carved by relentless tears.
