Becoming a 2016 Heartist on WeHeartIt

Over the past couple of months since I’ve been awarded my badge of honor on weheartit, a social network for sharing inspiring, funny, and uplifting quotes and photos.  Since I announced I was honored as a 2016 heartist on Twitter and Instagram,  I’ve had a couple of curious people message me, wondering how I became a heartist.

It was never my intention to become a heartist on weheartit, in fact I only had my account for about six months when I was informed that I given the badge of a heartist.

Happy International Women’s Day!

I just have a few quick words to say.

Ladies, your worth is not based on other people and their opinions of you.

Ladies, your worth is not based on how many followers you have or likes your photos get.

Writing Update – What Happened? Life.

This has been posted on my website, writing blog and tumblr.

A lot has been going on for me lately; personally, academically, online and mentally.

Those of you who know me from Wattpad know that I posted a new short story collection on Wattpad, then took it down two days later. I often see self love romanticized and of all the things writers tend to romanticize, this one upsets me the most because it can make people who struggle with self love feel worse. It’s damaging and harmful to your audience, in this case I recommend you do valiant research if you don’t struggle with or understand self love.

Pathetic Mortals – Flash Fiction

warning: this is work unedited.

Earth wasn’t anything like she expected. It was small, crowded, and so, so dirty.  Trying to fit 7 billion people into an area smaller than her father’s kingdom, ridiculous. She exchanged a disgusted glance with her boyfriend, Adonis, as another one of the horrendously slow four wheeled vehicle humans were so proud of passed by them, spraying them with toxic levels of heavens-knows-what.

“I told you this was a bad idea, Adonis.”

9. “Stay with me okay? Stay awake!”

10. “Please- don’t leave me.”

13. “Everyone forgets about me. I’m used to it.”
